I’m always loving this new post more. So many of my childhood books were these titles or similar, I’m glad I grew up with them.
I’ve always thought that the “nancy” in Little Women was a proxy for Cornelia. Obviously she’s a mean girl, but if Jo teaches Laurie how to “steal glances”, Cornelia steals glances, too.
Alas, Little Women is my all-time favorite book. I read it when I was a kid. It’s got it all, a lovely message, funny parts, a bit of longing and mystery, but most of all, it’s an excellent
